Mobile USB microscope Cellcheck CIL-USB
How can you get a four square meter workpiece under a metallurgic
microscope? The solution to this problem is the Cellcheck CIL
mobile USB measuring and inspection microscope. The Cellcheck CIL
is always supplied with a stable MST stand. This allows secure positioning
on fl at material and on drums. The stand feet are coated
with silicone-free synthetic material. A knurled
bronze screw allows the stand roller positioning
distance to be adjusted variably. This ensures
the required object distance particularly
at small magnifi cation factors.
The 1600 x 1200 pixel USB 2.0 camera offers
perfect images, comparable to those from high
quality metallurgic microscopes.
Image examples made with LED ring light and coaxial
illumination (polymer printing plate and intaglio
printing cylinder).
Lenses with magnifi cation factors of 2x, 4x, 6x and 10x are included.
The magnifi cation factor based on a 17 inch PC monitor can be calculated
by multiplying the magnifi cation factor of the lens by 45. For
example a 10x lens displays the measured point at a magnifi cation
of 450x. 15x, 20x and 30x lenses are available as options. A strong
white LED provides coaxial illumination. The coaxially directed light
eliminates all undesired refl ections, which could lead to misinterpretations
and erroneous measurements. We also offer IR, green and red
LEDs. The power is supplied by the USB camera An additional LED
ring light is also included. The nine LEDs arranged at an angle of 30°
offer perfect illumination for all applications requiring diffuse light.
The Metric PE or Metric Plus software provides for documentation.
Regardless of whether images are only to be stored or whether the
image and measuring results are to be documented in in the form
of Excel or PDF fi les - Cellcheck CIL
makes your work quick and easy.
The software can be installed on as many computers as desired, and
enabled by the USB camera, allowing the system to be used by a
number of employees.

The MST stand can be equipped with rolling
stand feet as an option. For example in the fi eld
of solar production, e.g. on thin fi lm modules,
the measuring points located in a line can be
sighted considerably faster and more conveniently.
As an alternative the MST stand can be
supplied with a 5 mm X adjustment. A combination
of both options is not possible.
The unit is delivered in a small, plastic transport case
well suited for mobile use in fi eld service.
An additional stand with 25 x 25 mm cross table and optional rotation table
is available to allow
the Cellcheck CIL to be used as a laboratory system (shown with depth measurement
equipment
in Fig. at bottom right - see Cellcheck CIL-ZX). This stand is very useful
when performing depth
measurements on small parts. In such applications the parts can
be positioned precisely with the cross
table. Further optional accessories include
the two V-blocks, which can be
inserted into the rotating table using
a fi tted pin in the bottom. This allows
applications such as quickly and reliably
measuring the depth of scratches
on round parts without investing a
great deal of time. The Cellcheck system is also suitable as a mobile
laboratory for measuring polished micrograph sections. In this
confi guration the Cellcheck CIL system is supplied in a prestigious
aluminium case, with recesses for the optional stand.

Depth measuring microscope Cellcheck CIL-ZX-USB
The mobile USB microscope for depth measurement
The ideal aid for depth measurement. The digital dial gauge measures
the distance between two focal planes for no-contact measurement
of hole depths in circuit boards or cell depths on anilox
rollers and intaglio cylinders The measurement should be accomplished
at very high magnifi cation to limit the depth of fi eld - a
possible source of error. For this reason
20x and 30x lenses are included
with the measuring system. The 1600
x 1200 pixel USB 2.0 camera provides
for 900x or 1,350x fi nal magnifi cation
on a 17• screen.
The virtually play-free, coaxial drive
allows exact focussing on the focal
plane. Important for optimum readings: Always focus the top and
bottom focus level from the same side. This is the only way to ensure elimination
of inaccuracies
in the measurement resulting from a slight backlash. Here the coaxial illumination
directly through the lens plays a signifi cant role. This light guidance is
the only feature that allows exact recognition of the focal
planes. The fi ne focusing mechanism can be pushed
to the side for quick adjustment. An LED ring light is
included with the set for materials such as rubber. The
nine LEDs are arranged at an angle of 30° to the optical
centre.
The MST stand provides a secure position on drums or fl at
material for depth measurement. An additional fi ve millimetre X-adjustment
at high magnifi cation allows feed motion between the focal planes, when they
can no longer be covered by the fi eld of vision. In addition to visualisation
the Metric Standard or
Metric Plus measuring software allows 2D measurements, such as distances, angles,
radii and areas.
The drivers for the camera
and measuring software
can be installed on
as many PCs and laptops
as desired (software enabled
via camera), making
the system extremely
fl exible. Updates for the
Metric software can be downloaded via the Internet
download system at no cost.

The images shown here of an anilox roller from the fi eld
of fl exographic printing indicates the type of images
obtainable with a 20x lens (approx. 900x magnifi cation
on a 17• monitor) First it is necessary to adjust the system
above the fi rst focal point. Then focus at the bottom,
excluding the remaining backlash. As soon as the
upper focal plane is in focus, the dial gauge can be set
to zero and the system refocussed on the second focal
plane (bottom of cell). Then read off the value on the
dial gauge or transfer it to the Excel log via an optional
data transfer
cable and interface. The advantage of this method
is that the value on the depth measuring dial gauge is
also displayed in the Metric window.
